In the framework of the exhibition organized by the Interest Group on Allergy and Asthma in the European Parliament on 26th-28th of April, EFA (MyAirCoach partner and dissemination manager) is pleased to invite you to an event where the results from EFA multiannual project will be presented as they relate to the identifications of the actual reasons for adolescents’ poor adherence to treatment. Despite the availability of effective treatment options, medical adherence to asthma remains indeed a challenge, especially for adolescents. Through a multinational survey especially prepared for young people with asthma, we gained insight into adolescents’ own viewpoints and we developed recommendations and specific actions to support their adherence to treatment. The presentation of the project results and of the recommendations will be followed by a panel discussion where parents, paediatricians and adolescents themselves will be invited to share their opinions and policy makers will discuss ways for supporting adolescents in achieving a better management of their condition.
